Although the Holocaust was an insane and ultimate form of genocide... there were still millions... entire countries, including the US, until 1945; who did not attempt to help, or try to stop the horrifying events that were happening. Why did people stand by ?
1. fear
2. indifference
3. ignorance
4. selfishness
5. mob mentality
6. post WWI mentality
7. abiding to Hitler's laws
Maybe if Hitler's armies weren't so massive and powerful, people would try to help
Maybe if Hitler wasn't so intelligent and deceiving, people would try to help
Maybe if some of the events affected some of the bystander's family, they would try to help
Maybe if racism didn't exist, neither would have the Holocaust
